The Mercury is a complete off-grid solar kit which contains two 150W solar panels (300W total), plus an EcoFlow portable power station with 1 kWh battery storage and up to 1800 watts of AC output. This portable, plug-and-play solar kit can power light appliance usage for shorter day trips and overnight stays.

This kit can power modest usage of basic appliances with low power draw, like LED lights, phone/laptop chargers, a coffee maker, a 12V mini fridge, and low-wattage compact fans or electric blankets. With 1 kWh of battery capacity, usage will need to be measured over short term (1-2 day) trips, and no high-draw appliances should be used.

The EcoFlow Delta 3 features 1,024 watt-hours of battery storage capacity. This is enough to cover basic amenities during day trips. For example, you could reasonably expect to make coffee in the morning, charge your phone to full, run a WiFi router all day, charge your laptop for 4 hours, and run LED lights in the evening - all on a single battery charge.

With 300 watts of solar, it will take several hours of charging in optimal conditions (full sunlight, directly overhead) to fully recharge the 1 kWh EcoFlow battery. We recommend putting the solar panels in the sun for a full day in average conditions to recharge the battery in full. Cloudy or shaded conditions will increase recharge time, while charging during peak production window (when the sun is directly overhead) considerably accelerates recharge speeds.

The Delta 3 power station features 15 available ports to plug your devices into. There are 6 standard AC outlets, 6 USB ports (2 USB-C, 2 USB-A fast charge, and 2 USB-A), 2 12V DC inputs, and 1 car charger input.

The Delta 3 itself has inputs to recharge from any of four sources: solar (included with this kit), AC, DC, or car charger.

Battery health and performance depends on how it is used, and how often and fully it is charged and discharged. The power station battery comes with a 10 year lifespan warranty and 5 year service guarantee. It can be stored for up to a year at a full state-of-charge with no issue. With routine usage and proper care, the battery may last 10+ years, while the panels are warrantied for 25+ years of use.

TThe Delta unit has a display screen that shows the battery level, solar panel output, and inverter status. Additionally, the system can be monitored remotely through a mobile app.

The system requires minimal maintenance. The solar panels should be kept clean and free of debris to maximize their efficiency. The portable power station should be kept in a cool, dry place to prevent overheating.

This kit is expandable up to a max solar input of 500 watts. On the storage side, the EcoFlow Delta 3 battery capacity is expandable with additional battery packs for up to 3 kilowatt-hours of battery storage (though the expansion batteries do not allow for more solar input).
