Hybrid Solar Kits without Batteries

Hybrid solar kits without batteries are designed for customers who want grid-tied savings now and the option to add storage later. These systems use hybrid inverters, making battery integration easy in the future.

Hybrid Solar Kits (Batteries Not Included)

Our hybrid solar kits are designed to help you save money on electric bills, while also providing backup power to protect against outages.

The kits featured on this page do not include battery banks. These kits are specially designed for people who want to start by adding solar to their home, with plans to add-on a battery bank system for backup power at a later date. Hybrid Solar Kit Components (Batteries Not Included)

Kit components have been selected to allow for expansion into a hybrid system at a later date. Here's what's included in these kits:

Solar Panels

Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity. Most home solar kits use monocrystalline solar panels. While bulky and rigid, they fit on most rooftops, and are the most efficient and budget-friendly option available.

If you have limited space to build your array, consider high efficiency solar panels (20%+ efficiency), which can fit more solar production into a smaller form factor.

Hybrid Inverters

Commonly described as the "brain" of the solar power system, inverters convert DC (direct current) energy from panels into AC (alternating current) energy that powers your home appliances.

There are two main types: microinverters, which attach a small inverter to each panel, and string inverters, a centralized inverter which controls multiple panels. String inverters are more cost effective, while microinverters make systems more reliable and easy to expand.

Hybrid inverters are specifically designed to switch seamlessly between grid power and backup power when the grid goes down. These kits are designed with hybrid inverters to anticipate the expansion into a battery bank at a later date.

Mounting Hardware

Our solar kits include the solar panel mounting hardware needed to secure panels to your roof or ground mount foundation.

Please note that ground mounts will require a separate sub-structure to be built as a foundation for the solar array, and the components needed to build this foundation are not included in our kits. You will need to source the materials for pipes, concrete footings, etc. from a local hardware store. Please consult with a member of our design team if you're planning a ground mount project.
