Description
VELUX Venting Skylights
Bringing fresh air into your home through a venting skylight improves air circulation, ventilation, and air quality. Skylights visually expand a room using natural light from above.
Wide Variety of Applications
Deck mount skylights will work with a wide variety of roofing materials. They are great for new skylight installations as well as replacing existing skylights.
Eligible for the VELUX 10-year installation warranty when installed with appropriate VELUX flashing kit (sold separately) on a pitched roof between 14-85 degrees using the included underlayment.
- EDL step flashing interweaves with low-profile roofing materials (up to 1/2" thickness) like shingles, shakes, and slate.
- EDW high-profile flashing is designed to work with tiles (over 3/4" thickness) and is pliable and pleated, which allows it to be formed to roof tiles.
- EDM flashing has a sill apron with pliable pleats that form to the ridges on a metal roof.

10-year installation warranty when installed with VELUX flashing kit. Skylight deck seal, underlayment & flashing work together to prevent leaks.
Easy to Open and Close
Use a control rod when skylight is out of reach or a crank handle when skylight is within reach. (Sold separately.)
Room Darkening Shade
Add a solar powered shade and enjoy the benefits of better light control and improved energy efficiency. Double pleated blackout cloth blocks even the brightest sunlight.
Installation
The cost to install the VELUX manual venting skylight will depend on how many skylights you're installing and the type of ceiling in your home. Price ranges outlined on the right side are estimates which include the cost of labor for both exterior and interior finishing work when installing a single new skylight or replacing an old skylight.
