VELUX Venting Skylights
Bringing fresh air into your home through a venting skylight improves air circulation, ventilation, and air quality. Skylights visually expand a room using natural light from above.
Wide Variety of Applications
Curb mount skylights can be installed on a flat or sloped roof and with a wide variety of roofing materials. They are great for new skylight installations as well as replacing existing skylights, including old plastic bubble skylights.
Eligible for the VELUX 10-year installation warranty when installed with appropriate VELUX flashing kit (sold separately) on a pitched roof using the included underlayment.
- ECL low-profile step flashing interweaves with shingles, shakes, or slate on a roof pitched between 10-60 degrees.
- ECW high-profile flashing is pliable and pleated which allows it to be formed to roof tiles on a roof pitched between 14-60 degrees.
VENTING SKYLIGHT FEATURES
3 Layers of Water Protection
10-year installation warranty when installed with VELUX flashing kit. Skylight gasket, underlayment & flashing work together to prevent leaks.
Easy to Open and Close
Use a control rod when skylight is out of reach or a crank handle when skylight is within reach. (Sold separately.)
Room Darkening Shade
Add a solar powered shade and enjoy the benefits of better light control and improved energy efficiency. Double pleated blackout cloth blocks even the brightest sunlight.
Installation
The cost to install the VELUX curb mount venting skylight will depend on how many skylights you're installing and the type of ceiling in your home. Price ranges outlined on the right side are estimates which include the cost of labor for both exterior and interior finishing work when installing a single new skylight or replacing an old skylight.
