SolarTown Awarded GSA Contract for Solar Energy Products
We are pleased to announce that SolarTown has been awarded a General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule, which goes into effect today. We admit that it was a lot of paperwork, actually enough paper to sink a ship, but fortunately these days we didn’t have to chop down trees for the paperwork; we were able to submit our proposal electronically.
Although it took some time, we are pleased that we have a contract vehicle for SolarTown to sell solar power products to the government. We are pleased to offer solar ovens, solar refrigerators, solar freezers, and solar refrigerator and freezer packages, and we will be adding more products to our GSA schedule.
The GSA contract allows government purchasers to save tons of time. If you are working for the government, you know exactly what we mean. You have a project that is starting tomorrow and you don’t have time to post it on the Federal Business Opportunities site. You need your solar power products like tomorrow.
If the products are on our GSA schedule, then you can simply complete the purchase almost immediately. The prices between SolarTown and the government have already been worked out through the GSA contract. The government purchasers can simply issue a purchase order or request a quotation from SolarTown and even pay for the products with a Government Purchase Card. Simple and fast.
