Bring on Spring! Bring on the Solar Lights!

solar powered lightWe have had some false starts but the cherry blossoms finally bloomed in the Nation’s Capital and spring has finally arrived, and so has the surge of interest in and orders for solar powered lights.

Most of our customers who are interested in solar lights are newbies to solar energy, and indeed there is no better wait to start down the road to solar energy with some solar lights.  You don’t need a solar farm to get into the solar business. You can start with some simple, inexpensive solar lights. And springtime has brought the customers to SolarTown who want to see solar technology in action.

Our customers are interested in all kinds of applications for solar lights—mostly for their garden and patio. Probably the most popular kind of solar lights is solar path lights. These lights are incredibly easy to use and you don’t need to have a power outlet nearby to use these lights. The season is still early but our most popular path lights are the Smart Solar lights, which has come out with a host of interesting and versatile lights.

Another very popular selection for solar lighting early this season is the Gama Sonic solar lights, which has come out with a number of interesting applications for not only gardens and porches, but also sheds and address lights. Probably the most popular solar light that we sell from Gama Sonic is the solar lamp post lights—and Gama Sonic offers a good variety of styles of solar lamp posts.

When it comes to solar security lighting, the leading brand that we sell is Maxsa solar lights. Probably the most important reasons that our customers are looking for a solar application, whether solar security lights or lamp posts, is ease of installation and no access to electricity.

Please read our articles in the SolarTown Learning Center on solar powered lighting. The information in these articles could save you a lot of time. The number one complaint that we hear from some customers is that the lights are not bright enough, and our first response is to ask the customer whether the area in which the solar lighting is installed has direct sunlight.  If you do your homework, you will not be disappointed and the quality of these solar lights is improving all of the time—and yes, they are getting brighter and more efficient. We hope that you will start your solar journey this spring with some solar powered lighting.
